Terms of Service

Helix screens blockchain addresses against published sanctions lists and curated risk labels, and returns a risk verdict with the evidence behind it. Supported chains are listed on our methodology page, which also records where each label came from and when it was last refreshed.

Helix is a decision-support tool. It is not legal advice, not a compliance programme, and not a determination that any person or transaction is lawful or unlawful. You remain responsible for your own regulatory obligations, including sanctions screening, KYC/AML procedures and reporting.

A “clean” verdict is not a safe-harbour. It means Helix found no matching evidence in the sources it holds at that moment. It does not mean an address is unconnected to illicit activity.

Sanctions lists change. Blockchain data providers degrade or rate-limit. Labels are added, corrected and retired. Consequently:

• Coverage is bounded by the sources named on the methodology page, and by the chains Helix supports at the time of the query.
• A verdict reflects the data available at the timestamp shown on it. Re-screening the same address later may return a different verdict.
• Where upstream data is unavailable, Helix degrades the verdict and says so rather than silently guessing.

Labels carry their source. Where a label originates from a third party (a sanctions authority, an abuse-reporting community, a public dataset), Helix attributes it and links the reference. Helix does not assert that an address is subject to a sanctions programme unless that programme currently lists it.

If you believe a label is wrong, write to legal@helixcrypto.io. We review challenges and retire or correct labels that cannot be evidenced.

You are responsible for keeping API keys secret and for all activity under your account. Keys can be revoked from the dashboard at any time. Do not use Helix to build a competing labels database, to re-sell raw label data, or to screen at a volume beyond your plan without agreeing overage terms with us.

Paid plans bill in advance through Stripe. Quotas reset monthly. Overage is charged at the rate shown on the pricing page. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues to the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.

Helix aims for high availability but does not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on self-serve plans. Enterprise agreements may include an SLA. Planned maintenance and incidents are communicated to account contacts.

The service is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our aggregate liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including regulatory penalties, lost profits or lost business.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that is used to facilitate sanctions evasion, or that we are legally required to stop serving. Where possible we give notice and allow export of your screening history first.

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — to be confirmed], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.
